The Correspondents (2026-2027)
a year-long, by-mail, individualized exchange of experience as performance project
Skewed Visions's artistic-managing director, Charles Campbell, is writing one letter by hand with pen on paper directly to 30 individuals once a month for one year.
Is this performance? Is this community? Is this resistance to the isolation of fascism and the enforced surveillance of social media? Is it an attempt to support the US Postal Service? Is it nostalgia? Is it merely a letter from someone writing specifically to you once a month? You decide.
This project is a series of personal letters, written one-at-a-time to individuals (acquaintances as well as strangers) who may or may not write back. What new circumstances may develop between two people through letters remains unpredictable and an opportunity for something other to take place.
